The website

This site includes no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, user accounts, contact forms, or cookies. Cloudflare may process ordinary request data such as IP address, requested URL, and browser headers to deliver and secure the site under its own policies.

The Windows utility

NoLagGippity does not create its own account or upload task content. It reads the official package version and backend hash, starts a version-matched local App Server on 127.0.0.1, and maintains local profiles, logs, backups, and derived history caches on your PC.

The official OpenAI app continues to handle authentication, network requests, and its existing telemetry under OpenAI’s policies. NoLagGippity does not claim to remove or alter those official behaviors.

Updates

A scheduled daily check downloads a small public channel file and its signature. Compatible manager and backend updates are downloaded only after signature and SHA-256 verification. The channel does not receive task content.

Removal

Uninstalling NoLagGippity removes its manager, optimized backends, profiles, and shortcuts. Safety backups under your normal .codex folder are retained deliberately so uninstall cannot destroy recovery data.
